Retrospective of all the famous movies that have prominently featured balloons. Funny how I don’t remember Cary Grant running through those cornfields with balloon in hand. Guess “the balloon” is so ingrained in our culture that I didn’t even notice it….

OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING ACCIDENT

Weightlifter from Hungary breaks his arm during Olympic trials. This is kind of hard to watch (especially when he starts twitching on the ground), but definitely a good example of why I avoid the weight room at all costs.

On a lighter note, this kind of reminded me of the All Drug Olympics Sketch from SNL.

Greenpeace commercial based on the pics that were floating around of trees in sexual positions. The video is kind of SFW (the audio is X rated) though you still might feel a bit dirty inside after watching.

Paris Hilton is pissed about Mccain’s negative campaign ad against Obama in which he compares Obama to Paris. She gets back at him by reading a cue card on camera.

The Natural History Museum of LA has a “living” dinosaur roaming the halls. These kids are shockingly brave. I know it’s not actually living but that’s really irrelevant. If I were there, I’d be terrified to be in the room.

THE REAL AMAZING SPIDERMAN

Dan Osman is an extreme sports athlete who is known for rock climbing without ropes. He is not only famous for climbing without the ropes, but for being one of the fastest climbers as well. His climbs have shown the true potential of man.

Dan Osman died in 1998 from a freak accident after falling from a 1000 ft cliff. He died instantly on impact.

AFRO NINJA: THE MOVIE

What will they NOT try to think of next? Mark Hicks, the Internet star of the infamous viral video of the stunt audition gone horribly wrong, is coming out with a movie about an Afro Ninja who makes one bad backflip, but goes on to become the world’s greatest warrior. Yes, this is a real movie.

THE BATUSI

Unlike Christopher Nolan’s current Batman incarnation, the 1960′s TV show fully understood the beloved superhero’s mythology. I’m not sure what part of “breaking out of plaster jars and dancing in front of King Tut” the new movie failed to grasp.
